🎭 A theater with a layered past, Átrium has witnessed Budapest’s artistic evolution since the 1930s. Originally opened as the Atrium Cinema in 1936, it’s one of the city’s most striking examples of Bauhaus architecture, a testament to Budapest’s modernist wave. After changing hands and purposes through the decades, the theater recently reopened with a mission to bring bold, contemporary performances to Hungarian audiences. Today, it’s home to productions from 𝔻𝕦𝕞𝕒𝕤𝕫í𝕟𝕙á𝕫 ℙ𝕚𝕟𝕥é𝕣 𝔹é𝕝𝕒 é𝕤 𝕋á𝕣𝕤𝕦𝕝𝕒𝕥𝕒 𝕆𝕣𝕝𝕒𝕚 ℙ𝕣𝕠𝕕𝕦𝕜𝕔𝕚ó and others. The café is open on performance days from 2 hours before the start of the show till 1 hour after the end. This is drawing no.80 in sketchbook vol.2 and day 26 of the Inktober2024 challenge.
