Gólya Presszó is a vibrant and welcoming space in Budapest's VIII. district that always has some exciting programs going on.
But Gólya is much more than a bar: it’s a hub for community building. Since 2020, the Gólya Cooperative has hosted a diverse range of projects in collaboration with allied organizations, some of which form the Kazán Community House.
Take a moment to get to know the organizations and causes and consider supporting their work if you can:
𝙃𝙚𝙩𝙞 𝘽𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙫ő – A network that started in Budapest’s party district, providing warm meals to those in need. They serve over 3,800 people every month across the country.
𝙃𝙚𝙡𝙮𝙯𝙚𝙩 𝙈ű𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙮 – A social science workshop offering a leftist critical perspective on Hungary’s socio-economic landscape and supporting movements that emphasize economic justice.
𝘿𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙯𝙤𝙣𝙩 𝙆ö𝙯𝙩é𝙧 – An alternative learning space for vocational students, offering critical, project-based workshops to help understand and engage with the world.
